FEBRUARY 2021 ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Bupa members are entitled to discounted sessions when they receive treatment at
our Lawson clinic, as we are part of the Bupa Members First Network.
Dependants will usually receive a No Gap session i.e. your private health insurance
may cover the full cost.
2. nib members are entitled to discounted sessions when they receive treatment at
our Warrimoo clinic, as we are part of the NIB's First Choice network. This also
applies to to nib's partners: Qantas, AAMI, Apia, Suncorp and GU Health.
3. Eligible HCF members are entitled to a No Gap initial consultation through the More
For Muscles program (maximum of 1 NO GAP session per year as per HCF's
conditions). Valid at Lawson and Warrimoo.

ABOUT
Jason Wheeler established First Choice Spinal & Sports Physiotherapy soon after a near-death experience in December 2018. Having survived a 20m fall from a cliff, Jason re-evaluated his family and career priorities.
Working in private practice since 2006, Jason gained valuable experience and insights into how best to serve his patients. He also recognised that in order to provide a range of top quality services for his patients he would need to establish his own clinic.
First Choice Spinal & Sports Physiotherapy services both the sporting population and the general population with equal enthusiasm and commitment to high-value care. We provide longer appointments than most other physiotherapy practices so all current and previous injuries are thoroughly assessed before a treatment plan is established.
Jason has recently completed additional Post-Graduate Studies and Research, including a Masters Degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. This ensures he is equipped with up to date knowledge of injury prevention, treatment options and management plans, as well as latest developments in physiotherapy.
After experiencing a life-threatening accident in 2018 when he fell off a cliff in Blackheath, Jason gained significant insight and understanding into the impact of serious injuries, chronic pain, the intricacies involved in long-term rehabilitation, injuries affecting full-time work and the impact all of these can have on one's mental health.
Jason's aim is to use his knowledge as a physiotherapist, as well as his own lived-in experience, to help patients through their own recovery journey with a compassionate, open and honest approach.

We are accepted by all health funds, Medicare, DVA, Workers Compensation, Motor Accident Authority, & NDIS

First Choice Spinal & Sports Physiotherapy is accepted by all health funds, allowing you to claim a rebate on the spot using HICAPS.

We also accept Medicare EPC and DVA referrals from your GP.

We are SIRA (State Insurance Regulatory Authority) accredited which means that we treat injuries covered by Workers Compensation and Motor Accident Authority.
